NO REFERENDUM CAMPAIGN BY LICENSED TRADE
WELLINGTON, Feb. 24. “No organised action is being taken by the trade to influence public opinion on the issue of six o clock o. ten o’clock closing,” said the dir ®ctoi of the National Council of the Licensed Trade, Mr Percy Coyle, to-day. “The referendum on the question is a matter for the public to decide he said. “If any alteration is decided on, the licensed trade will, of course carry out the mandate of the people.”
