BURMA REBELS GAINING GROUND
RANGOON, February 23.
A. Karen “blitzkreig” resulted in the capture of Myingyan, an important railway town, 60 miles southwest of Mandalay. As alarm spreads through Central Burma, Mandalay—the second largest city of Burma —has been placed under heavy guard by Government troops and the people’s volunteer organisation.
