BALLET BY ABORIGINES TO BE RECORDED
WELLINGTON, Fob. 24 Professoi’ A. P. Elkin, Australia’s outstanding authority on aborigines, will, during the Sydney University winter vacation, revisit Arnhem Land, Northern Australia, to witness and record “some of the most fantastic ballet" he has ever seen. The performers, all males, live much as their ancestors have done in that remote part of the continent for centuries. Professor Elkin who holds the chair of anthropology at the University of Sydney passed through, Wellington vesterday after attending the Pacific 'Science Congress sessions at
Christchurch. JJe wi’l leave Auckland to-morrow on his return to Sydney, Professor Elkin said the Australian Rrondcastinq Commission was co-on-eratin" with technical equmment and an exnert musician would accompany his part?/ to assist in recording.
