PLANE CRASH AT HONG KONG KILLS 23 PEOPLE

(Rec. 11.15). HONG KONG. Feb. 24. All of the twenty-three persons on board—nineteen passengers, and four members of the crew —were killed this morning when a Cathay Pacific Airline D.C. 3 airliner, from Manila, crashed into hills at the eastern extremity of Hong Kong. The crash occurred when the airliner attempted to fly over the hills in a very thiclj, mist, before approaching the Kaitak airfield.
The plane caught fire when it hit the hillside.
