(Rec. 8.50) NEW YORK, Feb. 22 The New York Daily News correspondent at Buenos Aires says: “The Argentine Army has lifted a threat to turn President Peron out of office on account of his wife, Senora Eva Peron taking part in public life. A possibility remains that Senora Peron might be forced from public life. The War Minister, General Humberto Sosa Molina, to-day gave President Peron his personal guarantee that the army had no intention of throwing him out. It was rumoured widely to-day that Senora Eva Peron was negotiating to charter a plane to Pernambuco, in Brazil, and possibly beyond that. It is generally credited‘that the army gave President Peron a choice of sending Senor Eva Peron on a European vacation, or of issuing a joint formal statement announcing her retirement from public life.
