WEDDING

POULTER-N ICHOLLS. The wedding took place at St. Stephen’s Church, Reefton, recently, of Flora Mary, only daughter of Mr J. T. Nicholls, and Ernest William, third son of Mrs W. Poulter and the late Mr W. Poulter, Maruia. The Rev. E. Baker officiated at the ceremony, and Mrs W. Nicholls presided at the organ. The church was tastefully decorated by relatives of the bride. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a trained gown of cream slipper satin with a Utting bodice and sweetheart neckline. Her veil was held in place with a small coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of regale lilies, and maiden hair fern. Miss Paulino Kear attended the bride in a frock of peach net over taffeta with a fitting bodice and a full tiered skirt. She wore a shoulder length veil and caried a bouquet of lilies, sweet peas and maiden hair fern. Mr Max Poulter, brother of the groom, acted as best man. • During the service, Misses Daphne, Elaine and Valmai Nicholls, cousins of the bride, sang “My Prayer For You”. After the ceremony, the reception was held at Dawson’s Hotel, where Mrs F. Tibbles, grandmother of the bride, assisted by the bridegroom’s ■mother, received the guests, the former wearing a wine silk suit with a shoulder spray of sweet peas, while Mrs Poulter wore a tailored wine frock,-and a matching spray of carnations. During the breakfast, the Nicholls Trio again entertained the guests with a melodious rendering of “I’ll Walk Beside You”. When the happy couple left in the evening, by private car for a tour of Central Otago and the Southern Lakes district, the bride was wearing an acqua blue coat and frock with white accessories.
