Since all the water taken in by the Holmlea, while at sea on Saturday and Sunday, when she required the services of the Westport tug James O’Brien to make the port ot Westport, after breaking down on the journey from Greymouth to West port, was pumped out by the Westport Fire Brigade equipment yesterday, no trace of a leakage has been found in the ship. The position now is rather curious and has been the subject of considerable investigation. This afternoon Mr McKenzie (inspector of ships in the Marine Department at Greymouth) is conducting a preliminary inquiry as to the cause oi the mishap.
