A. and P. Smoke Concert

Many members of the Buller A. and P. Association attended the smoke concert held on Saturday night to mark the end of a successful show. Many toasts were proposed, and items were given by Messrs T. Mallett, D. Broad and T. Fox. The president, Mr H. Bennett, said that the show had more entries for this year than in the past. He thanked the farming community for their fine support and the care they had taken in the preparation of stock for the show. The recipients of cups suitably replied, and said that it gave them much pleasure to compete. Competition made the show, and the entrants were, in the opinion of Mr H. Palmer, part-judges of their own entries in each section. TIDES AT WESTPORT Tuesday, 22—6.19 a.m.; 7.12 p.m. Andy Phillips is still at “The Pines.” —Advt.
