WOMEN ARE THE GREATER SPENDERS
WELLINGTON, Feb. 21.
The hope expressed by a speaker at the opening of the Taita North School on Saturday, that the school might produce a Minist.#?.' of Finance, was endorsed by the Tit. Hon. W. Nash, when declaring the school open. “Perhaps we might have a woman as Minister of Finance,” said Mr Nash. “They handle -more money than the men. They take what their husbands earn and what they earn themselves and spend it all.
“And in many cases it is not necessary for them to account for it,” said Mr Nash, aciding: “I have to account for every penny.”
