TENNIS WEST COAST TOURNEY DRAW
Next Saturday the West Coast Lawn Tennis Association will hold their annual championship tournament with matches on the Greymouih, St. Columba, United and Cobden courts. Entries totalling 227, nave been received, and play will commence in all sections at 7.45 a.m. In the men's singles, players are to report to Greymouth courts, while players in the women’s singles will attend at the United Club’s courts. COBDEN BEATEN BY RUNANGA The match for the Presidential Trophy, which was played in overcast weather, ended in a win for Runanga by 9 sets to 6, and 84 games to 78. There was some good tennis and the result was in doubt until the last doubles set, which Runanga managed to win by two sets to one. Results (with Cobden players mentioned first) are: — I. Hay v S.
