AXEMEN’S SPORTS AT NELSON CREEK

Showery weather hampered the sports meeting held, at Nelson Creek on Saturday, but it proved very interesting. Close finishes were seen in many of the chopping events, especially the final of the 12in underhand, when W. Liddell and E. Blackmore dead heated for first and W. Evans was placed third. An excellent display of marching was seen and tiie field events also proved popular. Results:—

The winning; leader was Miss Nola Patterson (Cobden) 56 points; runner up, Miss Noleen Green (Combined Business Girls) 55 points.
