TENNIS AUSTRALIANS AT HUTT VALLEY

P.A. WELLINGTON, February 20. The most successful of the local players who met the touring New South Wales tennis team at Mitchell Park, Hutt Valley, on Saturday, was O. M. Bold, who featured in the two victories that fell to his side. The visitors were opposed by the national champion, J. E. Robson (Otago), and three Hutt Valley players, Bold, R. V. Robb and the intermediate, A. Wetherali. Results, with Hutt players mentioned first, were: J. E. Robson (Otago) lost to O. W. Sidwell 1/6, 1/6; O. M. Bold beat R. McCarthy 6/1, 1/6, 6/4; R. V. Robb lost to ,J. Matthews 6/8,. 6/3, 3/6; A. Wetherall lost to D. Rocavert 0/6, 3/6; Robson and Bold beat Sidwell and Rocavert 6/3, 6/3; Robb and Wetherall lost to McCarthy and Matthews 4/6, 3/6.
