2500 HOMES BURNED IN JAPANESE CITY
IN.Z.P. A.—Reuter). (Rec 9.5) TOKIO, Feb 20. Ten thousand Japanese people were rendered homeless to-day when flames, which were fanned by a strong wind, swept through the city of Noshiro in Northern Honshu Island. The flames destroyed 2500 homes.
The fire burned for eight hours before it was brought under control. Four persons were ' killed. It Is estimated that 500 persons were injured. Noshiro is a sea-coast city with a population of 46,000.
