TENNIS West Coast Tourney
The West Coast Lawn Tennis Association has received 227 entries for its annual championships tournament, commencing at Greymouth on February 26. Thirty-one pairs have entered for the men’s doubles, and 21 for the women’s doubles. In the mixed doubles events, 48 entries have heen received. The women’s singles, for which 32 entries have been received, will be played at the United court.?. In the men’s singles, 54 entries have been received, and players are to’report to the Greymouth Club’s courts. Players in the boys’ and girls’ singles events will report to the Cobden courts on Saturday morning. In the boys’ singles, 2'7 players have signified their intentions of participating, while in the girls’ section 14 entries have been received. Play in all sections will commence at 8.45 a.m., and will be conducted on the Grcymouth, St. Columba, United and Cooden courts. COBDEN TEAMS B team v United at United to-mor-row: Men.—J. Black, J.
