WOOL STOREMEN STRIKE AT SYDNEY
SYDNEY, F&pruary IS. The wool sales to have been held next Monday have been cancelled because of tho ban by storemen and packets on wool deliveries. The New South Wales Woolbuyers’ Association has called for Government intervention. as the dispute is holding up the distribution of over £5,000.000 worth of wool. . . ,
A mass meeting of 1,300 un:omsts unanimously reaffirmed the ban which was decided upon on February 8. About 100.000 bales of wool sold in Sydney during the past week arcimmobilised and 300 men already have been paid off from S'ydnev won' stores. The liner Chitral left - Britain last night leaving. 2000 bales of her wool cargo behind.
