Bogart’s role has him serving a term in prison for a crime which he .did not commit. Soon after his neatly staged escape he is picked up by a voung lady (Miss Bacall), who had followed his trial in the. newspapers. The dialogue which is adapted from David Goodis’ novel of the same title, offers some excellent moments for the star. Miss Bacall is .cast in a sympathetic role. She discards the slinky tvpe of role which introduced her to the screen, for that of a very sincere young woman. Supporting the stars are Bruce Bennett, Agnes Moorehead, Tom D’Andrea and Clifton Young. Regent Shows Now Showing: “The Adventures of Robin Hood,” starring Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland. Basil Rathbone. Warners’ technicolour production has brought all the imortal appeal of the Robin Hood legends for everyone to see on the screen! Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, Basil Rathbone, and Claude Plains, head the huge cast of well-known players. Settings of Sherwood Forest and Nottingham Castle with archery duels and romance make this one of the most brilliant films ever produced.. With action, love story, and humour, patrons will be thrilled by this motion picture masterpiece.
