SOVIET DEMANDS ON AUSTRIAN ASSETS
LONDON, February 16. The representatives of the Western Powers repeatedly but unavailingly pressed the Soviet delegation for "specific details of Russian claims on former German assets in Austria at to-day’s meeting of the Foreign Ministers' deputies who are considering the Austrian Peace Treaty. M. Zarubin (Russia) maintained that there must be agreement in principle on the disposal of these assets before the deputies could consider the details. The British. United States and French delegations mad e it clear that they were willing to make further concessions if the Soviet delegation would discuss actual properties and assets involved.
