WELLINGTON WARFARE IN TRADING
NEW DISPUTE ON FRUIT CONTAINERS—BOYCOTT OF MARKET WELLINGTON, Feb. 16. Fruiterers of Wellington and Hutt Valley will boycott the Wellington markets as from to-morrow until an outcome to the. container charge dispute satisfactory to them is reached. This was announced this afternoon by the secretary of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Federation of Retail Fruiterers and Greengrocers, Mr S. Chesney, immediately following the receipt of a telegram from Dominion headquarters in Auckland. Christchurch and Auckland are also affected by the boycott. The secretary of Federated Farmers of New Zealand, Mr A. P. O’Shea, said earlier to-day that the federation would assist the growers in any difficulty.
