WEDDING HONORE—NUTTING

St. Mary’s Church, Hokitika, was recently the scene c»f a popular wedding, the contacting parties being David James Honore, a son of Mr and Mrs Honore, Levin, and Colleen Catherine Nutting, onlv daughter of Mr and Mrs N. Nutting, Fitzherbert Street, Hokitika. The Rev r r. D. Lordan performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of champagne coloured satin, with a slim-fitting rucked bodice and a very full skirt, the hem of which was finished with deep rucking, which also formed the train. The sleeves were long, coming to a point over the hand. The neck and skirt were trimmed with tiny satin flowers embroidered in pearls. Her net veil was the same shade as her frock, and was scalloped and embroidered, and formed a second train over her frock. It was held in place by a halo of many blossoms. Her bouquet was made up of cream roses, stocks, sweet-peas and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaids were Misses Pat Godfrey and Joan Ffahlert. Pat Godfrey wore a frock of shell pink net over satin, the bodice of which was off the shoulder style, finished with a deep frill. Her skirt was also very frilled and was trimmed with satin flowers. Joan Pfahlert's frock, which was made on similar lines, was powder blue net over satin. Nola -Barrowman was flower-girl, and wore a frock of lemon net over satin, with a fitting bodice, puff sleeves, and a very full skirt, finished with a deep furl of satin flowers. • Mr Douglas Nutting was best.man and Mr Pat Nutting was groomsman. The bride’s mother received the guests at the Hotel Westland Lounge, where the reception was held. She wore a black wool georgette suit with a slim fitting bodice trimmed with pin-pricks. Her hat was an off-the-face black straw, trimmed with white flowers. For travelling, the bride chose a powder blue wool georgette balerina suit, the skirt of which was circular and the jacket was smocked at the waist. She wore a blue silk straw hat trimmed with wine coloured accessories to match. Mr and Mrs Honore will make their future home in Levin.
