FIVE OUT OF 700 QUARANTINED (Rec. 11.11) SYDNEY, Oct. 29 The migrant ship, Charlton Sovereign, reached Sydney late to-day with seven hundred displaced persons aboard.

Five of her passengers have been put into hospital isolation. Three are believed to be typhoid cases. The ship’s surgeon said that two men and a girl became ill with typhoid symptoms, after the ship left Batavia, ten days ago. They were immediately isolated, and precautions were taken to prevent the disease from spreading. The ship has not been quarantined, and the remainder of the passengers are leaving Sydney to-night for immigrationcentre at Bathurst.
