The second positive poliomyelitis case in Nelson city was admitted to Nelson Public Flospital yesterday—a man. aged 34. A Press Association message from Wellington states that swimming baths in the Wellington health district are to, be allowed to open, provided a satisfactory hygenic standard is maintained at all times, according to new instructions issued for the control of poliomyelitis. Where the water is fresh and enclosed ’ this standard means proper chlorination. One case of poliomyelitis, an Upper Hutt child, was reported to-day.
