Deer Hit By Rail Car
When the Greymouth-Westport rail car was in the Buller Gorge on Tuesday evening, it struck and killed a deer. Passengers were slightly concerned when the knock was felt, but were quickly reassured when the car stopped. Rail car drivers have had considerable trouble in avoiding stray cattle, as well as deer on this section.
