ACCIDENTAL RIFLE DISCHARGE KILLS FARMER
PA LEVIN, October 18. As the result of what was believed to be the accidental discharge of a rifle, Roulston Rutherford Smith, aged 35, married, with four young children, lost his life in a cowshed on a farm at Shannon last evening. Smith went to a cupboard where the milking machine. parts and a rifle were stored. His wife heard a shot and turned to see her husband lying on the shed floor. An inquest was opened this morning and adjourned.
