GREEK SHIP AFIRE AT ADELAIDE

ADELAIDE, Sept. 3. Firemen were forced to flood the Greek ship, Atlantic Air, in Port Adelaide at midnight last night to prevent the possibility of an explosion following the fire which broke out in the ship, which was carrying a cargo of sodium nitrate. Several minor explosions occurred and the firemen poured 5000 gallons of water a minute into the holds. The ship developed a 20-degree list, but the fire was extinguished.
