WEDDING

p O yle—Donnelian A verv pretty wedding took place at St. Patrick’s Church, Greymouth, on Saturday morning, when Moire, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Donnelian, Greymouth, was married to Francis Patrick, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Doyle of Hawera. Rev. Father' J. Austin, of the St. Columban Missions, cousin of the bridegroom, celebrated Nuptial Mass and officiated at the ceremony. During Mass appropriate hymns were rendered by Miss G. Saunders, whilst Mrs. J. Chunn presided at the organ. Escorted by her father, the bride was attired in a lovely frock of French satin cut on simple lines, with a v-shaped neck and .long sleeves tapering to a point over the hands. The long full skirt fell in graceful folds to form a train, and the beautiful hand-embroidered veil.fell in a shower to form a second train. The bride wore a triple necklet of pearls, and carried a bouquet of white orchids and carnations. Attending the bride were Miss Patricia Smith as bridesmaid,, and Patricia Greaney, as flower girl and train bearer. Their frocks similarly cut in Victorian fashion, were of clover, and green georgette respectfully. The bridesmaid carried a bouquet of pink stocks, carnations and maiden-hair fern, whilst the flower-girl carried a basket of toning flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. T. Daley of Hawera, who ably carried out the duties of best man. At the reception, which was. held n Harker’s Lounge, where the usual toasts were honoured, in the absence of the bride’s mother through illhealth, the guests were received by the bride’s aunt, Mrs. J. Keating, who was attired in a suit of maroon wool georgette with toning hat and accessories. She was ably assisted by Mrs. Doyle, mother of the bridegroom, who was attired in an ensemble of black relieved with white. When the bridal couple left by rail-car en route for Auckland, Mrs. Doyle was wearing a frock of blue afghalaine under a bergundy coat of new design, with accessories to tone. The newly-married couple will make their home in Hawera.
