For Cease Fire At Jerusalem (Rec. 10.25) LONDON, Aug. 13 The Rome correspondent of tne Associated Press reports: Count Bernadotte (U.N.O. mediator) said that hj had received advice that tne Jews han rejected his “cease fire” order as an attempt to bring peace to Jerusalem and to demilitarise the city. Count Bernadotte added: “The Jews are taking an enormous responsibility.” Jews Propose Exchange of Prisoners (Rec. 11.40) LONDON, Aug. 13 Reuter’s correspondent at Tel Aviv says: The Israeli Government informed Count Bernadotte of their readiness to meet Arab representatives in ■Rhodes to work out a general exchange of prisoners of war. The Jews hold about five thousand Arab prisoners. The Arabs have about one thousand Jews. NOTHING DONE
(Rec. 11.50) LONDON, Aug. 13 The British United Press correspondent at Rome says: Count Bernadotte who is on his way to Stockholm, said he had asked U.N.O. a month ago for forty armed men to watch the Latrun pumping station day and night, but nothing had bden done.
