“Evolutionists” Question Broadcast Suspension
WELLINGTON, June 26
The stopping of the broadcast talks to schools, “How Things Began”, was discussed by the Wellington branch of the Royal Society. It was decided to a.'-'k the Director of Broadcasting, Professor Shelley, for information, and to have members enabled to hear some of the recordings. Professor Richardson, of Victoria University College, said he objected to the way in which the script had been suppressed. A small group of people obviously had had sufficienl influence to stop the talks. He said: “Some of the criticism was a confusion of part of evolution with the whole. The fact of evolution is not disputable, but the process is the controversial point”.
