BEVERIDGE PLANNER PREDICTS RISING IN BRITAIN
LONDON, June 27. Lord Beveridge, in a speech to the University Liberal Union said: “I am certain the people of this country are going to rise. There will be a revoluution against inefficiency and restrictions by act of Parliament. There. will be a time when the people will turn against all these absurdities and wastes, • and it is urgent that they should end.” Lord Beveridge was discussing the Transport Bill. He said the middle class, who did not v ork to trade union orders, was the most valuable class in the country and that road transport was the golden opportunity for their enterprise.
