Buller Power Board
The Buller County Council has been advised by the Minister of Works that the Buller Electric Power Supply Board would comprise three representatives of t|ie council and two from the Westport Borough Council. BULLER POWER SCHEME The Four Mile (Charleston) power scheme was favoured as a source to generate electric power supply for the Buller district, and it was decided to make representation for its utilisation. It was considered that it would be unwise for the Buller to rely on the Cobb River scheme or Lake Coleridge to supply the district’s requirements, and it was considered the Minister of Works should be impressed with the need for a local scheme such as that at the Four Mile (Charleston).
