(Rec. 6.30). THE HAGUE, May 20. The conference of the International Federation of Agricultural , producers, various sub-committees’ recommendations were submitted to the confrence. These included: (D. That an investigation should be undertaken to assist in the exchange of commodities by the Co-operatives oi the various countries within the framework of normal international trade agreements. (2). That an In ternational Wheat 'treaty, should include a clause agreeing that the minimum prices should depend on the exporting countries and should not unduly depress the prices. (3). That no member country should be required to pay over twenty-five per cent, of the budget costs of U.T.F.A.F., irrespective of the number ot its farm organisations. The -conference resolved . that it was imperative to have a joint examination of every nation’s agricultural programme for the ensuing year to prevent scarcity as well as surpluses. Other resolutions included recommendations on agricultural workers’ welfare and a variety of security measures for adoption within individual countries, adso for the early conclusion of a wheat treaty. It was regretted that the Argentine was not represented because it is considered that the Argentine Js an indispensable partner in th p wheat business.
