SIX BURGLARS CAUGHT IN ACT

SYDNEY, May 19. Four men were arrested in two suburban, pictures theatres in the early morning and have been charged on several counts' of housebreaking. The arrests were the culmination of several weeks of overnight vigils by four detectives. At 3 a.m. the detectives saw two men enter the Ginksgrove Theatre and called 15 uniformed police to surround the building. With drawn guns the detectives then went in and arrested the men, whom they found with gelignite, detonators and fuses. At Artarmon, residents heard an explosion and telephoned the police. The police found ‘that gelignite had damagd the floor of a theatre safe, but failed to open it. Two men, both carrying revolvers, endeavoured to escape through the auditorium, but were cornered and arrested.
