ATHLETICS Olympics Invitation

New Zealand’s official invitation to the next Olympic Games has been received by Mr. H. Amos, secretary of the New Zealand Olympic Games Association. The invitation reads:— “From the Organising Committee for the 14th. Olympiad, London, 1948,, to the National Olympic Committee, New Zealand: On the instructions of the International Olympic Committee, which has chosen the City of London for the celebration of the Olympic Games, 1948, the Organising Committee for the 14th. Olympiad, London, 1948, has the honour to invite you to take part in the competitions and celebrations to be held at Wembley Stadium in that year from July 29 to August 14, inclusive. “(Signed) Portal, president of the Games, Bunghley, chairman of the Organising Committee, March, 1947.”
