DOMINION NEWS

AUCKLAND, April 15. The Electricity Controller, Mr F. T. M. Kissel, is very doubtful of the wisdom of giving detailed information to the public on power savings made by the restrictions. Mr Kissel has advised the Waitemata Power- Board to this effect, and, in reference to the controller s- wish, the board will not state its weekly savings other than in general terms. -In the past week the board has kept within its reduced allocation, so that further- reductions this week are not anticipated. All applications to the board for the use of radiators between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., have to be supported by medical certificates The doctors have been asked to take particularcare that authorisations are given only to necessary cases.

A Wellington message states that six electricity consumers have had their supply disconnected because they used power in special areas during the advertised period of disconnection.
