SUPER PLANNER IDEA
LONDON, March 18.
The Daily Herald (Labour) does not like the Daily Mail’s suggestion that Lord Montgomery should be appointed as super-planner to pull British industry together. In a leading article, the Herald said: “Lord Montgomery is a brilliant General. The idea that he would therefore automatically succeed in solving the nation’s economic problems is born of blind hero worship, not of sober reasoning.”
