FOOTBALL SEASON IN BRITAIN.

LONDON, March 16. The Football Association and the Football League officials have jointly decided to extend the football season to June 14 to enable the completion of the League and cup competitions without, mid-week matches, which the Government does not want. The officials decided that the only mid-week matches permitted would be service matches and normal midweek half-holiday matches. The officials were told that the need for the stoppage of mid-week football might continue throughout next season.
