ST. PATRICK’S CELEBRATIONS.

St. Patrick’s School was taxed to capacity to hold the large crowd who assembled for the St. Patrick’s concert. The programme was as follows: Orchestral selection, Ireland. I Love You, Greymouth Convent Orchestra; A fi’oast. to Erin. Kumara Pupils: The Cobbler Elf, by the Juniors; Song, Rev. Fr. McCarthy; Recitation, “Westland,” School Pupils; Irish’Medley of Song and Dance, Grey Artists; Action Song (Cockles and Mussels), School Girls; Song, Miss J. McEnaney; MacNamara’s Band, School Girls; Irish Airs, Grey Convent Orchestra; The Irish “Te Deum,” An Irish Lullaby, Kumara School Pupils; Recitation (“Does It. Always Rain in Ireland”?), School Girls; Humorous Item (“The Picanninies”), D. and P. Calder; Sketch, “Early Days in Kumara,” Greymouth Artists.
Following the concert, there was held at Arahura Valley, a very successful picnic, in favourable weather.
