SAILING TO CHINA SYDNEY, Feb. 21. Designated as the flagship of a small fleet of four vessels purchased by U.N.R.R.A. in New Zealand and Australia for use in China, the steel trawler Awatere sailed from Sydney on Thursday night for Shanghai. At Cairns on March 9 it will be joined by the converted minesweeper Tawhai, which left Auckland on February 17. The two vessels will then proceed to Amboina for a rendezvous on March 19 with two three-thousand ton wooden cargo vessels, which will sail from Fremantle on March 4 for Amboina. The ships will sail under the Chinese flag, and are expected to arrive in Shanghai before the end of April.
