MR CHURCHILL

Holiday in Switzerland FOR THREE WEEKS. (Rec. 8.55) LONDON, Aug. 26. Swiss police have taken extraordinary precautions to guard Mr Churchill and Mrs Churchill, and Miss Mary Churchill, and to see that they have a secluded holiday while in Switzerland. At the Chateau Choisi, on the shores of Lake Leman, which has been loaned to Mr Churchill for three weeks, scores of armed police patrol the' grounds, and police speedboats patrol fifty yards off the shore. The police have also built a watch tower in high trees- in the Chateau grounds, from which a look-out surveys the surrounding territory and an area of four square miles around the Chateau, into which no one is allowed to enter. Chateau Choisi is one of the most luxurious in Europe. Priceless Louis the Fourteenth furniture has been borrowed for Mr and Mrs Churchills’ benefit. A bar has been installed with a superb range of aperitives, wines, brandies, and champagnes. A famous chef has been brought from St. Moritz to prepare the meals.
