ALIVE IN PARCEL
New Born Baby AT OAMARU RAILWAY STATION P.A. DUNEDIN, August 25. Wrapped in a newspaper and in gome women’s underclothing', a newly-born male child was found in the women’s waiting room of the Oamaru railway station at 2 p.m. yesterday. A constable was summoned bv the waiting room attendant, who had become suspicious of the parcel, and. on unwrapping it, the constable found the boy to be living. Dr. E. F. Butler was called, and, after examining .the baby, he sent him to the hospital, where he is making satisfactory progress. The mother of the baby was later located, on the south-bound express, which leaves Oamaru in the early afternoon, and she is at present in Dunedin Hospital.
