OBITUARY
The death occurred at Paroa yesterday afternoon of Mrs Emma Hogarth, aged 76 years. The late Mrs Hogarth, who had been ailing for the past twelve months, was a native of Victoria, and came 39 years ago to Camerons, where she conducted a boarding house. For the past eight years she had resided at Paroa. Her husband predeceased her eight years ago. She is survived by one son, Leslie (Rangiora); five daughters, Mrs A. Hunter (Cobden), Mrs J. Biddington (Camerons), Mrs L. Goodman (Auckland), Mrs J. Dow (Te Kinga), and Miss Olga Hogarth (Paroa); three sisters', Mrs T. Hibbs and Mrs C. Braidwood (Camerons), and Mrs T. Kenny (Melbourne), and by one brother, Mr J. Royal (Camerons), also seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The funeral is to take place at the Karoro Cemetrey to-morrow afternoon.
The funeral of the late Dr. William McKay took place on Saturday, and was largely attended. The pall-bear-ers were Dr. W. Bird. Dr. H. R. Ray, Dr. Barclay, Messrs F. Harley. G. Poole, and Thompson. The services at the house and graveside were conducted by Rev. T. C. Campbell.
