The golf links at Kaiata were in a very heavy condition last weekend and this hampered open play. Many players* were also “fooled” by the greens, which, although rather wet, were considerably faster than was anticipated. MEN’S MATCHES Matches to be played this week-end are as follows':— Senior championship, Wallis Chivers. Intermediate championship, Cox v, Stopforth, McKechnie v. McNulty. Junior Championship. Cameron v. O’Donnell, F. Woodhouse v. Sansom. Rea v. Harrington. Fourehorsemen Cup; Eadie v. Harrington. Cameron v. Jef coate. All the above matches must ba completed this week-end. WOMEN’S MATCHES The draw for the second round of the Hannan trophy (medal match on handicap), to be played by the Ladies’ Golf Cjub at the Greymoutb links at Kaiata to-day is as follows: Mesdames' McCarthy, Hutchison, and Miss Hambleton; Mesdames Hooper, Neville, and Miss Hannan; Mesdames McKay, Brown, and Miss McKnight; Mesdames Robertson, Lambert and Miss Deere; Mesdames Murdoch, Fatton, and Miss' Munson. In the C division the draw for the fourth round of the points trophy (medal match over 13 holes), to be played to-day is as follows:—Mesdames Chibnall, Boustrid'ge and Rea; Mesdames Hickman, Wallis, and Bluett; Mesdames Ellis, Thurlow and Miss Heaphyp Mesdames J.
