EFFECT ON CLOTHING PRICES WELLINGTON, Aug. 23. Official advice that the subsidies on cloth ng have been withdrawn . as from August 15 has been received from the Price Tribunal by members of the trade, who state that the effect of the sales tax and subsidy adjustment varies according to the articles of clothing concerned. " In. some cases, it is stated, there will be small cuts, in some no change and in others an increase in price.
