WANT TO EMIGRATE
Many Thousand Dutch (Rec. 9.5) OTTAWA, Jan. 30 Twenty-five thouand Netherlanders applied to the Canadian Embassy in Holland for permission to migrate to Canada, even though the Embassy has made it clear that early passages cannot be arranged. This was statel by the Minister of Trade, Mr. MacKinnon, who has recently returned from a European tour. ■ He said' he found a surprising desire on part of people in the Netherlands, Belgium and France to emigrate to Canada, even though they were fully aware that Canada is not accepting any immigrants at the moment.
