WALL STREET BOOM
FOLLOWS INDUSTRIAL SETTLEMENT
(Rec. 9.5) NEW YORK, Jan. 28. The “New York Sun” says: Wall Street greeted an improvement in the strike situation with most hectic trading for many years. Stocks rose to the highest levels reached in 14 years, and the total turn-over was nearly three million five hundred thousand shares. It was the heaviest turnover since May 21, 1940.
