N.Z. SECOND CONTRIBUTION

How New Zealand’s second .contribution to U.N.8..R.A. will be spent was explained by U.N.R.R.A.’s New Zealand office. This contribution will be expended on the same general principles as the first. Ninety per cent, of it, or just under mulien pounds will be provided in the form of New Zealand goods of types suitable for relief works and m quantities that can be spared from New Zealand requirements. Ten per cent of the contributions is made available to U.N.R'.R.A. in the ' form of free foreign exchange administration so request. Thls means that only to the amount of £2ob,iW does any undertaking to provide actual money arise. Should the ac - ministration not require this m 0 for purchase of relief supplies CL• - - where, it. too is added to tne L per cent., nonconvertable contriuiltion. and is then provided in the form of New Zealand purchases.
