RIGHT OF INHERITANCE

N.Z. Government’s Attitude

P.A. WELLINGTON, Jan. 29 “No Disinheritance Bill has been prepared. It is not proposed io

prepare one; and I know of no suggestion insid'e the Government policy of such a proposal,” states the Acting Prime Minister, Pion. W. Nash, in a letter to the Associated- Chambers of Commerce. The latter had written to Mr. Nash as follows: “Wq usually pay small attention to rumours, but there are wide reports that it is the intention of the Government to introduce a 1 Disinheritance Bill in the forthcoming session of Parliament. We would be glad to learn from you whether it is the intention of the Government to introduce such a measure.”

Mr. Nash, in his reply, said that until he read in the press a letter on the subject of the rights of inheritance, he never heard of any proposal in the direction mentioned.
