BRITAIN’S BIG TEA SURPLUS

LONDON, Jan. 3 Britain is reported’ to have plenty of tea, of which it is stated there will be a big surplus, while many people are not taking the full ration of twoand a half ounces weekly. The catering trade, therefore, has asked the Ministry of Food for a 10 per cent, increase in its allocation. A tea broker has stated: “London is packed with tea. The controllers do not know where to store some of it. There is every reason for taking tea off the rations immediately.”
