It was confirmed yesterday by the Auckland Master Butchers’ Association that the butchers’ shops will not be opening on Saturday mornings as from to-d'ay week, January 12. The decision was reached after meetings with the employees. The new butchers’ hours will be from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on four days a week, and from 7 or 6.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.—Press Assn.
