WEE KES—HAZELDIN E The wedding took lace recently at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth of Freda Florence, younger daughter - of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hazeldine, Greymouth, to James Henry, elder son of Mr. and the late Mrs. E. Weekes of Tikurangi. Rev. P. Kirkham officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr. S. A. Coburn, wore a gown of white embossed cloque. The bodice, cut on slim-fitting lines, featured a heart-shaped neckline, self-trimmed with plaiting and finished with small covered buttons to the waistline. The gored skirt fell from a scalloped waistline to form a train. She wore a silk tulle veil embroidered with true lovers’ knots in satin, the veil falling from a scalloped halo of white cloque. Her bouquet was. of white Christmas lilies, carnations and StOCliS. .X, . Mrs. C. Reedy, sister of the bride, was matron of honour, and Miss Margaret Clasper was bridesmaid. They were dressed in frocks of green and rose taffeta-backed satin. The bodices were low-waisted with heart-shaped necklines self trimmed with ruching and finished with small covered buttons to the waistline, each frock having a circular skirt. Each carried a bouquet of mauve and pink carnations and stocks and wore a matching coronet. The flower girls were Benita and Beverley Coburn, cousins of the bride. They were dressed alike in green and rose frocks of the same material as the bridesmaids’ and cut on similar lines, and they carried Victorian posies of pink and mauve carnations and stocks, with matching sprays in their hair.

Mr. Ralph Whitwell was best man and Mr. Campbell Reedy, was groomsman.

During the signing of the register Miss Joan Swinburn sang “I’ll Walk Beside You.”

On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her nephew Peter Reedy. At the reception at Harkers’, the guests were received by the bride’s mother, who wore a black ensemble with matching hat and a shoulder spray of apricot begonias. She was assisted by the bride’s aunt, Mrs. D. Hazeldine, who wore a grey costume with hat to match and a shoulder spray of mauve stocks. When Mr. and Mrs. Weekes left by the rail-car for Christchurch and the North Island, where they will reside, the bride- was wearing a mossgreen suit of crepe, with a black hat. KELLY—HUNTER The wedding took place at St. John’s Church, Greymouth, recently, of Rosemarie, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Hunter, of Cobden, to Ronald, eldest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. K. Kelly, of Camerons. Rev. W. S. Brettell officiated. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a model gown of heavy white cloque. The bodice was ruched in front and featured a square neckline finished with tiny loops and buttoned to the waist-line with small covered buttons. The full skirt fell from a wide shaped waist-line to form a slight train. She wore an embroidered silk tulle veil, which was held in place by a pale pink rose and fell to form a second train and she carried a sheath of white Christmas lilies, abutilons and maidenhair fern.

Mrs Allan McConnon, sister of the bride, was matron of honour, and another sister, Miss Florence Hunter, and Miss Olga Hogarth, were bridesmaids. They were dressed alike in spring green, coral pink', and buttercup sheer frocks. The bodices were long-waisted, with three-quarter sleeves, the neckline finished with tiny loops and the back with covered buttons to the waist-line. The skirts were very full and hung from a dia-mond-shaped waist-line, being finished with rows of pin tucks on the bottom. Each carried a bouquet of autilons, carnations, and roses, and wore a halo of gold, peaked with ribbon to match the frock.

Mr. Allan McConnon was best man, and Messrs Russell Merthyns and Len Kelly were groomsmen. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her niece, Janice McConnon. At the reception at Herb Moore’s the guests were received by the bride’s mother, who wore a black frock of silk crepe, a honey gold jogga coat with black hat and a shoulder spray of lemon abutilons. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. J. Bond, who- was dressed in black silk crepe relieved with red and white, a matching hat of black straw, and a shoulder spray of red carnations.

When Mr. and Mrs. Kelly left by rail-car for Christchurch and Queenstown, the bride was wearing a suit of dusky pink, heavily embroidered, with hat and shoes to tone.
