LONDON, Jan. 2 Mr. Stalin will head the list of candidates for Russia’s first election of the Supreme .Soviet since 1937, says Reuter’s Moscow correspondent. He was nominated to-day amid thunderous applause at a meeting of electors of the Stalin constituency of Moscow. Mr. Molotov is also nominated by his constituency. The elections will be held’ on February 10. Voters will choose 656 delegates and 631 to the Council of Nationalities. Non-party trade unionists, co-operators and workers from factory units may stand, as well as Communist Party candidates. The Red Army elects one member for every men in certain defined area's, including the occupation zone in Germany. Three hundred thousand persons form a normal constituency.
